5G IN 2020
2019 was a pretty good start for 5G. However, 2020 promises to be even better as 5G will dramatically expand throughout the year – there will be new networks lighting up, businesses will continue to follow the latest technologies and 5G smartphones and other devices will become more widely available.
5G network in the latest generation of mobile internet connectivity, it offers faster speed, shorter loading time, and a stronger and more reliable connection on smartphones than ever before. Compared to 4G, 5G aims to speed up data communication and load time by up to 3 times. This technology will most certainly allow for smoother streaming of high-definition media, faster download and file transfer speed, and a more seamless gaming experience when out of WiFi connection or in very populated areas.
In 2019 5G smartphone shipment worldwide accounted for around 9.5 million. In 2020 it is predicted to be 73.7, and by the end of 2023, it is predicted to be 424.5 million.
At the moment in the market there are available quite few smartphones with 5G connection, such as Samsung Galaxy S10/A90/NOTE 10+, Huawei Mate X/20X; however, Apple seems to be waiting to release their first 5G device later in 2020.
As network providers and manufacturers continue to explore this technology, over time 5G could bring extremely fast, fibre alike speeds with super-low latency to every location in the world.
